In this release highlights video, an AI avatar representing Ahsan Syed walks through three selected Finance updates delivered with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2608. See how new capabilities for contract and lease management, asset accounting, and contract accounting can help finance teams improve efficiency, auditability, compliance, and period-end close activities.
You’ll see how cost settlement in contract and lease management supports a complete end-to-end settlement process for real estate customers. With integration to Planon, participating objects, proportional settlement calculations, and contract-level breakdowns, finance teams can standardize calculations across periods and gain clearer visibility into settlement results.
The video also introduces the new Post Asset Transfer app, which helps users post full or partial asset transfers for single assets. Transfers can be handled by percentage or amount, with support for asset transfers across company codes and regions, helping finance teams manage asset accounting processes more seamlessly.
