Throughout the 2025-2026 season, the @NHL / @nhlpa Hockey Innovation Competition, presented by SAP, brought students in Florida, Ontario, and San Jose together to design solutions that grow the game. At each stop, participants tackled real challenges in youth engagement, wellness, and accessibility by using data, design thinking, and emerging technologies to bring fresh, community-driven perspectives to hockey’s future. 🏒
The season culminated in a final showcase at SAP Center in San Jose, where finalist teams pitched their ideas to a panel of judges from the NHL, NHLPA, and SAP. Two standout concepts were recognized for their innovation and real-world impact.
